Introduction
In the study of disaster prevention community services, college students went to Guangshan villages to visit the community's disaster prevention system and evacuation route planning. We also use games to teach elementary school students about the knowledge of disasters and how to respond to disasters when they come. With the connotation of resource inventory in disaster prevention education, residents can re-evaluate the current resources and usage from a different perspective on life. Although the inventory and resources stakeholders in the general area are not easy to connect with the entire coastal area, environmental education is being implemented.
Related Research
In the class, we taught the concept of disaster prevention of the community and established the students' basic understanding of the disaster prevention. During the period, we cooperated with the community disaster prevention and rescue team led by the chief of Guangshan village, and organized a field research of the community. Facing the disaster prevention and rescue dilemma, we will observe the potential disaster-prone places in the community through guided tours, and explain the possible environmental disaster causes of flooding for many years and the operation methods of community disaster prevention organizations.
Besides, the students tried to integrate the knowledge of disaster prevention communities taught in class with local knowledge obtained from environmental surveys, and transformed them into lesson plans suitable for elementary school students. In addition to arrange students to participate in the results presentation of the autonomous flood prevention community of the Water Resources Bureau of Tainan, the students will further understand the actual implementation of the autonomous disaster prevention community. During the course, we had also invited the teacher from Counseling and Wellness Service Division, NCKU and one of the founder of coFishland which is an NGO based in Cigu district to came to the class to share their teahcing experience in disaster prevention community to schoolchildren in Gueiren Elementary School in Tainan City after the 0206 Nantai Earthquake.
